                   SILVER TWIST

Silver Twist is an 11 year old Trakehner stallion by Abdullah. His dam is Star News, a daughter of Good Twist xx.

This horse combines the best of American jumping bloodlines. However, an eye injury as a foal kept him from being a performance horse.

He was approved as a breeding stallion by the American Warmblood Registry in 2005.

He's a beautiful grey stallion, with looks, movement and blood lines that are world class. He stands 16.2 HH and has several test foals on the ground. Two of them, Tigger and Silver Wonder, are also for sale.

Abdullah, sire of numerous top flight hunters and jumpers, earned his title of Elite "Horse of a Lifetime" by winning the 1984 Olympics team gold and the individual Olympics silver, being the 1985 champion at the FEI World Cup finals, and in 1986 repeating the team gold, individual silver Olympic pattern at the World Championships in Aachen, Germany. Abdullah's story and legacy is one of legend.

Good Twist xx was the mount of Frank Chapot when he was captain of the U.S. Equestrian Team. In the 1960's, Good Twist and Chapot won 21 classes with the U.S. Equestrian Team. Good Twist sired many great hunters and jumpers including the legendary Gem Twist, considered by many to be the best show jumper America has produced - and certainly one of showjumping's finest.

Good Twist's grand-sire was Bonne Nuit, the stallion that founded the incomparable dynasty of jumpers in North America. George Morris has said of Bonne Nuit, his least get were good jumpers and his best get went to the Olympics.

Silver Twist's dam is Starnews, a daughter of Good Twist xx. Starnews is line bred to Man O War. Man O War descendents include Good Twist, J J Babu, Jet Run, Jibber Jabber, Miss Budwiser, Sympatico, Showdown and Sinjon to name just a few.

 Star News, dam of Silver Twist, is line bred to Man O War.  Good Twist is line bred to Rio Herode and The Tetrarch (Le Sancy – St Sulage)

Man O War descendents include Good Twist, J J Babu, Jet Run, Jibber Jabber, Miss Budwiser, Sympatico, Showdown, and Sinjon to name just a few.

 Geroge Morris has said of Bonne Nuit, “there probably never again worldwide has been such a sire of jumping lines. His least get were good jumpers and his best get went to the Olympic Games.” Of Gem Twist he said, “ Gem Twist could be considered the best jumper of this century.”

Avant Garde, Twist’s 2nd dam’s sire produced Bonte II, multiple Nation’s Cup winner with the US Equestrian Team.

Helianthemum, grand-dam of Star News, is the dam of Jet Run.
